Haiti Mobility Aids Criteria


The mobility aids for which there is a pressing need at this time are: Adult and Pediatric Crutches; Adult and Pediatric Walkers; and Adult and Pediatric Wheelchairs. Criteria for each product are indicated below. Please ensure that your donation meets these specific requirements.

CRUTCHES


Adult Crutches

Quantity Needed: 350
Style: Aluminum or Wooden - with arm pads, tips, and hand grips

Pediatric Crutches

Quantity Needed: 150

WALKERS


Adult Walkers

Making a Donation

Donations from individuals, and bulk donations from manufacturers and distributors will be accepted. The appropriate form must be completed and submitted online, as well as printed and included in the shipment.

Shipping

After ensuring that your donation meets the specific criteria outlined above, it can be sent to the Center for International Rehabilitation's (CIR) Chicago office. Costs associated with shipments to the CIR are the responsibility of the donor. Donations will be categorized and shipped to Haiti at the expense of the CIR.

Quantities

As items are received, updates of numbers and types of mobility aids still needed will be updated. When the requested quantities of each item have been gathered, collections will be halted until the CIR receives notification from organizations on the ground in Haiti that additional items are needed.
